1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using the Standards Academy website and services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.
2. Services Description
Standards Academy provides professional training courses in ISO and sustainability standards, including but not limited to ISO 37001 (Anti-Bribery), ISO 37002 (Whistleblowing), ISO 37000 (Governance), and ISO 37301 (Compliance). Our courses are delivered through various formats including live-online sessions, in-person training, and self-study materials.
3. Course Enrollment and Payment
3.1 Registration
To enroll in our courses, you must provide accurate and complete registration information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
3.2 Payment
All course fees are displayed in the applicable currency at the time of purchase. Payment is required at the time of enrollment unless otherwise agreed in writing. We accept major credit cards and other payment methods as indicated on our website.
3.3 Pricing
Prices are subject to change without notice. However, any price changes will not affect enrollments that have already been confirmed and paid for.
4. Cancellation and Refund Policy
4.1 Cancellation by Participant
- Cancellations made more than 14 days before the course start date: Full refund minus a 10% administrative fee
- Cancellations made 7-14 days before the course start date: 50% refund
- Cancellations made less than 7 days before the course start date: No refund
4.2 Cancellation by Standards Academy
We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule courses due to insufficient enrollment, instructor unavailability, or other circumstances. In such cases, participants will be offered a full refund or the option to transfer to another session.
4.3 Early Bird Pricing and Minimum Enrollment
Early Bird pricing is available for live sessions until the minimum number of participants is reached. If you registered at the Early Bird rate and the session does not reach the minimum enrollment threshold by the published cut-off date (typically 14 days before the session start date), you will be entitled to:
- A full refund of your registration fee, or
- Transfer to another session of your choice at the same Early Bird rate, subject to availability
You will be notified of session cancellations or insufficient enrollment at least 7 days before the scheduled start date.
4.4 Transfers
Participants may transfer their enrollment to another person or session up to 7 days before the course start date, subject to availability and a transfer fee. Participants who registered at an Early Bird rate may transfer to another session while retaining their Early Bird pricing, provided the original session was cancelled due to insufficient enrollment.
5. Intellectual Property
All course materials, including presentations, handouts, videos, and other content, are the intellectual property of Standards Academy or our licensors. Participants may use these materials for personal learning purposes only and may not reproduce, distribute, or commercially exploit them without prior written consent.
6. Certification and Examination
Successful completion of courses and examinations is subject to meeting the requirements set by the certifying body (PECB). Standards Academy facilitates the certification process but does not guarantee certification outcomes. Exam vouchers, where included, have validity periods as specified at the time of enrollment.
7. Code of Conduct
Participants are expected to conduct themselves professionally during all training sessions. We reserve the right to remove any participant who engages in disruptive, disrespectful, or inappropriate behavior without refund.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Standards Academy shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our services. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the specific service giving rise to the claim.
9. Privacy
Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new terms on our website. Your continued use of our services after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
11. Governing Law
These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
