About This Course
ISO 9001 sets out what an organisation must do to consistently deliver products and services that meet customer and regulatory requirements. Implementing it well is less a documentation exercise than a change of operating discipline, and that is where most implementations succeed or fail.
This course prepares participants to lead the implementation of a quality management system conforming to ISO 9001, working through the full sequence: establishing the context and scope of the QMS, defining quality policy and objectives, applying the process approach and risk-based thinking, designing operational controls, and putting in place the monitoring, internal audit and management review mechanisms the standard requires.
The programme follows PECB's IMS2 methodology, which gives participants a repeatable implementation framework rather than a set of clause-by-clause obligations, along with practical guidance on securing leadership commitment and managing the organisational change an implementation demands.
Substantial attention is given to preparing an organisation for its certification audit, so participants leave knowing what a certification body will look for and how to evidence it.
The course concludes with the PECB examination leading to the Certified ISO 9001 Lead Implementer credential, together with an attestation worth 31 CPD credits.
